Process & Fees
Following is a short outline of the steps and requirements in each step below:
Counselling & Mediation
Intake - each party will spend approximately one hour by phone, video link or in person to assist our professionally qualified Counsellor to understand each person and the personal issues behind the dispute. Once the intake has been completed we will prepare for the joint or mutual sessions (depending on the nature of the dispute).
Session - The next joint session is between a half and one day depending on how the matter progresses.
Certification - On completion of the counselling session we issue a section 60i Certificate, this allows parties to progress their matter to Court in accordance with the Family Law Act.
Intake Cost - $150 per person
Session Costs - $990 per person
Family Report
Intake - each of the parents, guardians, grandparents or other substantial persons will spend time in person with our professionally qualified Counsellor. Depending on the issues the children may be engaged in company with the adults or in private.
Psychological Assessor - Our Expert will review and assess each participant and their interaction with the children to form a view of what is best for the child. Often each person has their own view of what is best, but our view focuses solely on the children from an unbiased or un-compromised position.
Report Preparation - After the assessment our Expert prepares a report for the Court in a format required to be admitted as Expert evidence.
Assessment Time - whole day
Report Preparation Time - 2 weeks (usually less)
Report Cost - $3,300
